Let's get together for World Blood Donor Day!
As it does every year, the EFS is setting up its tent in the old port for an exceptional blood donation week from 14 to 19 June 2021.

Who do we treat with your donations?
Donating blood helps to treat and maintain good health:
- Patients undergoing severe treatment (chemotherapy).
- People suffering from immune deficiency and/or auto-immune diseases (including rare and orphan diseases).
- Patients following an accident, an operation or when a woman has had a difficult birth.
Who can donate blood?
Anyone in good health, aged between 18 and 70 and weighing at least 50 kg, can give blood.
Where can I give blood?
You're spoilt for choice when it comes to giving blood. The EFS has more than 115 blood donation centres in mainland France and the French overseas departments and territories. To find out more, visit the EFS interactive map here.
What documents do I need to bring with me to donate blood?
If this is your first time donating blood, remember to bring proof of identity (national identity card, passport or residence permit). Otherwise, your donor card will suffice.
Can I give blood several times a year?
Men can give blood up to 6 times a year and women up to 4 times. There must be at least 8 weeks between blood donations.
